Praise for Refreshing Hope:
Refreshing Hope is MAGNIFICENT, JOYOUS, WRENCHING, HEART WARMING AND SO UTTERLY TRANSPARENT! And I am still not to the end of the book yet! What a treasure you are and what a treasure you have given to us in this pool of memories, experiences, trials and victories!

Refreshing Hope in God is for believers and non-believers alike. Judy's words reflect and validate the joys and sorrows all loving mothers experience. I laughed and cried, sometimes on the same page. I could easily relate to Judy's story as I raised 2 children who gave me a "run for my money." Now that they are healthy, happy adults I too can reflect took me on "quite a hike," but like Judy, I agree it was worth it. A "must read" for mothers of all ages, especially mothers of less than perfect children. Hmmm...I guess that would be all mothers.

Dorcus Smucker"As I read this honest, practical book, I found myself saying, "Yes!" Alexander and Dippel put into words and clarified many of my own experiences and emotions of friendship. Best of all were the frequent self-evaluating quizzes and the lists of simple "What you can do" steps that are actually do-able for busy women. This is a book to re-read and share with friends."

Kathy Pride“Judy and Debra address the tough issues of friendship head on with honesty and candor. They offer practical, therapeutic and biblical strategies and principles to reconnect women whose friendship has been interrupted. I appreciate their transparent approach to real life and am privileged to count them both as friends.”

“Debra Whiting Alexander and Judy Dippel have become my new friends. They understand me and hope for my best. They challenge me and call me to growth. Indeed, that’s what good friends do! That’s what this book is all about. Winsome encouragement is combined with a challenging invitation to relational health. Good girl-talk is mixed with what often feels like professional therapy. The Art of Authentic Friendship offers a taste of God’s Kingdom on earth: seen, felt, and lived out between women. And this book itself will become your friend. Along the way and through its pages you will come to know friendship between women as one of God’s most profound and present gifts.”
