Author Biography
Judy Dippel, a Christian writer and speaker since 2003, has a passion to share with women how they can strive towards living out “God’s best” in their lives. Married since 1970, she is a mother of two, grandmother of three, and lifelong Oregonian.
Her expanse of career experience includes work in the fields of medicine, education, international adoption, and corporate America. Her writing and speaking topics speak to real-life issues affecting everyday women.
Judy’s first book is Refreshing Hope in God: A Mother’s Journey of Joy and Pain. (WinePress 2003). She is co-author of The Art of Authentic Friendship: Real Women, Real Challenges, Real Solutions. (Release date: July 2008).
She is a contributing author to Marita Littauer’s compilation, But Lord, I was Happy Shallow, (Kregel 2005), The One Year Life Verse Devotional, (Tyndale Publishing 2007), and Laundry Tales to Lighten Your Load. (Evergreen Press 2007).
Her current writing project for Care Point Ministries is a 10-week small group study on the topic of postpartum depression. It is planned for release in December, 2008. She hopes to see more or her children’s stories published since Boy’s Quest Magazine published/illustrated her fictional children’s story, “Night Watch” in 1995.

She is a frequent luncheon, retreat and conference presenter—she connects easily with her audience, and they leave feeling as if they’ve spent time with a good friend. Her experience includes radio, television, and other media interviews. Her most recent radio interview was the Georgene Rice Show, KPDQ, Portland, OR.
Judy currently lives in Eugene, Oregon—enjoys hiking and outdoor activities, college sports and golf—she feels learning and reading a good book is something to reach for every day. As a baby boomer in midlife she appreciates the value and influence friendships have on her life. She feels privileged to share with women the worth of all relationships including those with God, family and friends. She says she’ll never get over God’s grace—and feels privileged to share how “our stories tell God’s story.”
